Sterilized
Gamma Radiation & Sterilisation
Gamma radiation disrupts vital molecules of microbes (like bacteria, viruses, and fungi) effectively killing them and rendering them incapable of reproduction. Plus, this sterilisation method helps minimise contamination risks even after it’s sealed and is the highest form efficacy without leaving behind chemical residue or altering the inks composition.
Perma Blend pigments are subjected to gamma irradiation to ensure a sterility assurance level of 10⁻⁶. The irradiation process used has been validated through a 3rd party lab according to ISO 11137-2.
ISO 9001 certified
Perma Blend pigments are ISO 9001 certified, which means that the ink is produced in compliance with the highest international safety standards. This certification is given to companies that manufacture products and indicates that the company has a comprehensive quality management system in place to ensure that the products are safe and effective
CTL certified
CTL Certificates are third-party laboratory safety and purity documents issued by CTL Bielefeld Lab GmbH (Chemical Technological Laboratory) in Germany, an accredited independent testing facility that specialises in analysing permanent makeup (PMU) and tattoo inks.
What the Certification Means
- Purity Testing: It verifies that a pigment batch has been tested for toxic substances, heavy metals, aromatic amines, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and other harmful chemical compounds.
- Regulatory Compliance: The tests confirm whether the ink conforms to European safety standards, including historical guidelines like ResAP(2008) and modern strict EU REACH chemical safety regulations.
- Batch-Specific Documentation: Manufacturers provide CTL certificates (often alongside Safety Data Sheets or MSDS) for individual colour collections to prove transparency and product safety to artists and regulatory bodies.
